One of the reasons I enjoy working with my client, Standard Auto Wreckers is the owner, David Gold is always up for helping people out in the community. Whether it is his support of Suresh Joachim in obtaining a new World Record, a local business or charity he always makes time to hear what is needed and rises to the occasion.

He got a call a few weeks ago on his personal cell phone line (he has given it out to thousands of people) and it was Stuart Drummond asking if he had a couple of minutes to talk. The Drummond family are passionate about all things on wheels, particularly go cart and car racing. His 21 year old daughter just made the transition to race cars and smashed up the rear end of her car first time out.

David called me and the chat went something like this, “Hey Jay, a racing father just called and asked if we could help sponsor his daughter with some parts, let’s see if we have what she needs”. My reply was, “that sounds really cool, it would be great to sponsor an up and coming car racer”!

Luckily we had all the parts in stock (rear hatch, rear bumper & taillights) and David was more than happy to donate them to Khloe Drummond and that is how we came to sponsor this accomplished young lady that was born in Standard Auto Wreckers home city of Scarborough.
