By increasing their Facebook page likes.
Jay Granofsky, Search Marketing and Social Media Manager, Standard Auto Wreckers and Green Vehicle Disposal, laughs as he says that when he first came on board with Standard Auto Wreckers in 2009 he didn’t think Facebook was the answer. “It’s funny because one of the questions I was asked at my interview was how important I thought social media was.
My reply back then was much different than all the other people that were up for the job,” Granofsky notes. “I said, ‘To be honest, I would stake a claim on Facebook, but right now it is not worth spending a lot of resources on it.’ Back then it was more of a socializing network, but with the launch of paid advertising it became much more than that. Now, we have social media as one of our top priorities.”
