Industry Networking Pays Off

Networking within your industry can be very time consuming but when you build relationships it can have a huge value long-term.

In December of 2009 I made the acquaintance of someone in my clients industry that had a  successful established website, at the time our website was new so I asked if I could purchase some advertising to help launch our site.  We agreed on a token amount, $20 (for the first three months) and said we would revisit this down the road.  As it turned out our website blossomed nicely and it was agreed that our advertisements would remain because they were valuable to this websites visitors.  As of yesterday we have received 2081 visits over the past 14 months.

So don’t despair with the amount of time you a putting into networking in your industry, the payoff can be well worth it!
